This multipurpose, soft, seamless tube can be worn on your head or around your neck, folded, scrunched or flat. It measures 8" wide and is stretchy to fit around all head sizes.
An intersection of sky and earth, Indigo Earth Layers #5 is dyed with resist striped layers of indigo (grown at my Vermont studio) and black walnut over different natural toned yarns. There is a bright strip of lobster mushroom dyed red through the middle. It has an indigo border and interior.
Fiber: New England sourced and spun 50% alpaca/50% superfine wool.
USPS Priority Shipping within the US is included in price.
Your new knit requires very little care except to be worn and loved. The most important thing is not to put it in the washing machine! If your knit gets dirty or stretched, handwashing will restore it. To wash, fill a basin with warm water and add about a teaspoon of gentle dishwashing liquid, castile soap, or a fiber wash product such as Unicorn Wash or Eucalan. Don’t use Woolite. Put your knit piece in the basin and let it soak for 30 minutes without agitating it. Remove and refill the basin with fresh water. Put the knit back in the basin and let soak for another 10 minutes. Do 2 more rinses in fresh water. Gently squeeze dry and/or roll in a towel and dry flat.
You can store your knit in the cloth bag it came in. If wool moths are a problem in your house, consider storing in a cedar chest.
May your head and heart be warm!
