Hues of Persicaria landscape — special edition slouch hat No. 7
Every color in this landscape is from my studio grown Persicaria tinctoria (Japanese indigo). In addition to the shades of blue that indigo is usually known for, this hat shows the range of mauves from the extraction of indirubin, and yellow from kaempherol. Resist dyed combinations of the hues also produce orange and green. New England grown and processed 50% wool and 50% alpaca fiber. Self knit dark indigo lining of 80% alpaca, 20% silk for a smooth feel on hair and skin. One size fits most. Hand wash.
